The Winter Ball was originally organized to help raise funds to pay off the $80,000 note that was written to level the ground, plant the grass, and move the old schoolhouse to the site of the new Big Horn Equestrian Center. Over the years the note was paid off, but the ball continues to be a major source of funding for the BHEC thanks to volunteers, members, friends, and patrons. More importantly it brings friends together on the first Saturday in December for one of the last celebrations before year’s end. 

Set your calendar to start your holiday season with us this December 7, 2024, for our Winter Ball. Black tie or elegant western is preferred while enjoying an evening of drinks, dining, music, dancing, auctions, and friends. Remember to get your tickets early to celebrate our past year with us.
